About The Cat Doctor

We are an independent veterinary practice specializing in cats. For over 30 years we've offered cat owners a stress-free environment where they can bring their cats for the highest quality of care. Our veterinarians voraciously study feline medicine from the journals they read to the continuing education courses they attend. Our facility is designed to keep cats calm so that they will let us actually examine them. From the cat pheromones diffused into the air to the way we space out appointments, cats of every temperament find a home here.

The Cat Doctor is an other place in Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed at 4716 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30342, which places it among the local businesses of Atlanta that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Places that do not fit a cafe, bakery, tea, breakfast or nearby-store category land here: tourist attractions, parks and museums with a cafe on site, and unrelated businesses that came in through an import or a Google Maps match. Attraction cafes usually keep the venue's hours and may require admission to reach, so check before making the trip; park kiosks and museum coffee counters are often seasonal. Other listings are kept so that an old address or phone number still resolves and can be re-filed into the right category later.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Atlanta peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I drove down from Athens to get some feline-centric care for my senior kitty, and they really delivered! I could tell from the moment we walked in that my cat was more relaxed then she was at multi-species places. She enjoyed birdwatching out the exam room window while getting her checkup. Dr. Bradbury was very attentive, asked good questions, and didn't dismiss my few concerns as "normal cat aging". It wasn't like other vets where they just prod her a few times and go "yep! healthy cat!" Sometimes I feel like other vets/staff are a little scared or wary of cats, but not the folks at The Cat Doctor. Will definitely be making the trek to ATL the next time my cat needs care or a checkup. So worth it.

I’m really pleased and excited about the entire staff at The Cat Doctor. I came in a couple weeks ago because my nearly 9 year old tabby is grooming excessively, and prior to, during, and after the visit everyone has been so helpful. Dr. G is incredibly communicative, careful, and attentive. She listened to all of my details thoroughly and intently and has answered all of my many questions patiently, swiftly, and with immense educational detail. I came in for overgrooming but learned through her bloodwork that she has CKD. I have been crash course learning about this and grappling with my emotions the past two weeks. All the while, the staff at the front desk, technicians and doctor have all been very kind to me and patient with me during this time. I am very grateful. Knowing that kitties are picky and have a hard time switching food, they gave me a starter kit for free to help us make the switch to kidney specific food. This is INCREDIBLY HELPFUL and I am overjoyed for The Cat Doctor and all that they are doing to help me and my sweet Remy. They genuinely care. This is about to be a very expensive journey, and I work two jobs just to keep up, but The Cat Doctor is also providing

From the moment I walked in the door there was relaxing and comfortable waiting room atmosphere. No dog noises to upset my cat. I was greeted by two very amazing receptionists, Marylynn and Ashley. Then, I brought my cat into the exam room and it was very clean and calming, and exactly what my cat and I needed after that drive through Atlanta! Both the waiting room and exam room were quiet, clean and welcoming. While I waited for doctor Bradbury to finish her exam of Hemi, I sat in the waiting room, where there were treats (snacks) coffee and soda or water were available if I wanted any. Who else does this? Nobody! Ember was amazing! She was very calming for me and Hemi. Explained the process of the exam. Dr. Bradbury gave me the findings and suggestions how to move forward with his care. She certainly understands the bond between cat and human. Meanwhile, my cat was able to look out the huge window and watch for birds. He was as comfortable as he possibly could have been, given the circumstances. I'm willing to drive through Atlanta any time to take either of my cats to them. Only regret, they're not closer to me.

I’ve brought in my 14 year old orange tabby here 3 times now and they have been amazing every time. Every visit he has gotten a nail trim and for a cat who doesn’t like or let anyone touch his paws they are always so patient, kind and gentle with him and they give him lots of pets, love and compliments as well. The doctor today even sat on the floor with him petting him and talking to him when he crawled back in his carrier during his annual exam. This facility is also very clean. So grateful for the amazing and patient staff here!

It was our first time here and both of us were kinda nervous, but the staff and place were amazing! My cat was, of course, a little scared but was able to lay down and even almost fall asleep! They took their time and were sure not to make too much noise. In result she was calm and let them do their job which would’ve been a whole thing at her previous vet! 10/10 recommend 😊( plus she loved her toys and treats she got) Will definitely come back!
